Treating Sick or Injured Pets
Posted on July 30, 2019 at 7:40 AM |
Hello All,
The question for this week is one that we are right in the middle of.
Our daughter has a precious three year old dog that is extremely anemic. Her red blood cell count is so low that she qualifies for a blood transfusion (crazy expensive!) with no guarantee of efficacy.
We've been going with a more reserved treatment of giving her supplements, some medications, and making her dog food with rice and a variety of iron rich meats (liver, tuna, salmon, and lamb).
It's been several weeks and she really hasn't made any progress. By researching, we've realized that this is a process and that it could take months for her red blood cell count to return to a normal level.
And, we are praying that she will recover.
So - to what lengths would you go for a beloved pet?
May the Lord bless you in countless ways as you go about this day,
Joyce
